A Splash of Sunshine

A Splash of Sunshine

God I love yellow shoes, I also love polka dots and this dress is pretty gorgeous too!  Yes its simpler than many of my other looks, but I think this works.

I Dreamed A Dream

I Dreamed A Dream

I Dreamed A Dream

Of owning these gorgeous items, and please forgive hte musical references.  I have a real obsession with Issa lately.  I am going to buy a dress but it needs to be the right one for the price point obviously.  As much as I love the colour of this one, I just do not know if I would get the wear out of it.  The Mimco necklace though?  As good as mine, once I get in and double check I love it as much in real life as I do online!

There's No Place Like Home

There Is No Place Like Home

There Is No Place Like Home

Loosely inspired by the release of Oz The Great and Powerful because I am a nerd like that!  And no, the 'Dorothy' Perkins Sundress was not a mistake.  What was a mistake though and most frustrating,  but it appears the shoes are in fact a child's design.  I am too lazy to edit this creation so please do not hold it against me!

Mildly Mod

Mildly Mod

Mildly Mod

I won't bother apologising for my extended absence, no doubt it will happen again in the future!  This shift dress formed the initial inspiration for this outfit.  I then added the splashes or orange so it was not completely boring!

Budget Buys: Lean, Green, Spend-Thrift Machine

Lea, Green, Spend-Thrift Machine

Lean, Green, Spend-Thrift Machine

Its been a while since I did a budget friendly post.  And when I saw this wrap dress by Mix Apparel I realised that one was long over due!  At only $25.00 for the dress, and that being the most expensive component of this look, its a real steal!

Owl Nice To See You

Owl Nice To See You

Owl Nice To See You

For some reason owls are everywhere at the moment.  I certainly do not dislike this.  Owls are very smart after all.  I've added the ASOS shoes as a) they are adorable and b) Owls eat mice, and for some reason it appealed to me to have the two in the same outfit.

Featuring (price low to high):

What I Own - the Little Miss Flats in black.  They are very cute, but do not pay full price for them - frankly they are only worth about $20.00.

Classically Corporate

Few colour schemes are as classic as black and white with splashes of red. Here is an elegant, classic but fun corporate look for all of you office workers!  Plus I think I need those Choos - pun intended...

Featuring (price low to high):

What I Own - the Cue Cowl Neck top in Black and Purple.  A great workplace basic and the material washes, wears and feels nice.

A Scarf Of Paisley

A Scarf of Paisley

A Scarf of Paisley

This little number was completely inspired by the silk scarf in paisley print.  I have no idea why as paisley is not generally in my wardrobe!  The bag I have been eyeing off from Kikk-K for quite a while.  It might still make it home with me one day....

Featuring (price low to high):

Remember Me?  The Tribal Brown Bracelets were also featured in Miss Bow-Ho...

Miss Bow-Ho

As promised Miss K.  A little take on your 'Boho' style - but with some of my chicness - what do you think?

To those of you who are not Miss K - this is an outfit requested from a friend of mine - she wanted to see what I made of her slightly boho/hippy style.  I've probably missed it to be perfectly honest, the above is about as 'Boho' as I get.... adding boots to a dress!

Wise Little Owl

Wise Little Owl

Wise Little Owl

As 2013 starts up I confess I get a wee bit wistful about the days when I was a university student and life seemed much simpler and less materialistic.  So when I saw this t-shirt I designed a fun little outfit in honour of you wise little owls signing up for another year of study.  Best of luck and enjoy it while you can!

Bohemian but Blingy Bride

Boho But Blingy Bride

Boho But Blingy Bride

Last night I dreamt I was sleeping under a wedding dress.  An alabaster ivory fishtail to be precise.  Weird.  Anyway, when I then saw this gown by Alannah Hill my mind was already in the right place to try for my first bridal ensemble (well here anyway) - so here it is - a non-traditional yet elegant and romantic alternative for those brides wanting to avoid a 'standard' wedding dress.  Plus the name of the dress?  Kill me with awesomeness!

And congratulate me - this is my first scheduled post - I am learning!

Quite A Few Shades of Grey

Alas t'has been some time since I posted here.  But as a colleague was so kind to remind me, I really should get back onto it!  With life taking over, I cannot promise to keep this blog as much up to date as I do the other one, but here is a little post to tide some over.  This outfit named in honour of the disturbing moment over my Christmas holidays when my mother in law offered to lend me her trilogy of a certain set of 'pretty hot' books.  Scary.  All puns intended, right down to the 'bone'...
